Vietnam Zippo Photo Galerie: William D Watson

Dear Rolf,
I volunteered for a combat tour in Iraq flying medevac helicopter for the 101st Airborne Division. It is quite a switch from my normal job as a college professor at the University of North Dakota.
At the end of my tour in November, 2005, I will forward my Zippo lighter to you, for free, if you would like it. I smoke cigars, so the lighter is in my flight suit pocket for each combat mission in Iraq.
It is a satin finish Zippo that was made especially for the 101st Airborne Division "Eagle Dustoff" medevac unit with the unit crest embossed by Zippo into the front of the lighter. I will have my name and call sign added at some point in the tour as soon as I can find a place to do it.
Best Regards,
Bill Watson
